The American Legion is the largest U.S. veterans organization with more than 1.6 million members who strengthen the nation through programs, services and advocacy for those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, youth and communities.

Wellesley American Legion Post 72 is an active local veterans’ organization, established in 1919, that participates in community events like Veterans Day ceremonies at Wellesley Town Hall, led by current Commander Pete Jones, and is always looking to welcome new members to support military, veterans, and community causes. They honor veterans, support service members, and work to strengthen the community, just like other posts operate worldwide under the larger American Legion organization.
