INVITATION TO EVERYONE – SPECIAL RAFFLE

To celebrate the movie, the Friends of Wellesley Veterans is holding a special raffle that is unique and
tied to the theme of the movie. You do not need to be present at the movie to win this raffle. Sign up here to enter the raffle.

The Six Triple Eight has three important characteristics

1 — a U.S. Army Battalion deployed in World War II;

2 — the first group of Black servicewomen ever to serve overseas during World War II; and,

3 — their heroic mission centers on the delivery of mail overseas to American soldiers.

The raffle is a framed display of two original U.S. Stamp First Day Covers!

The first postage stamp first day of issue honors the U.S. Army in World War II — first issued by the U.S. Postal Service on Sept. 28th 1945.

The second postage stamp first day of issue honors Women
in Military Service — first issued by the U.S. Postal Service
on October 18, 1997.

These original First Day Covers are framed and will make a
wonderful display on your desk or wall.
